david

Encouraged by a close friend, David found and fell in love with Restorative yoga classes at Afterglow.
Afterglow Yoga became his ‘Aum’ and he developed a 3-4x per week practice. With encouragement, he became a 200-hour yoga teacher and is Reiki Level 2 certified.
David specializes in Restorative Yoga, where he likes to incorporate guided meditation and mantras. He offers many healing techniques, creating a practical form of physical healing and spiritual growth.
When you ask David how yoga changed his life, he had this to offer, ‘It’s the first time in a very long time that I put myself first and prioritized my self-care above all else. It allowed me to fully love myself and trust that whatever came my way, while challenging, would make a better version of myself. I have a renewed love for life but most importantly, love of self.’
David finds joy and inspiration in seeing students discover their own personal yoga journey and hopes to nurture and encourage them along their way.

marybeth

Marybeth has had a great love of yoga since her teens. She started her YTT journey in 2018 and became 500RYT with MVP yoga in Austin TX.
She went on to take another 200 hour course with Shakti Yoga in Woodstock, NY under Linda Winnick. She studies Ayurveda and philosophy and has a strong alignment based yoga practice (Hatha). Her deep roots in the medical field imbue her classes with precise anatomical cues and the physiological benefits of yoga with a sort of no nonsense language. She has studied many different methodologies and has come to a practice that helps the everyday person utilize yoga and meditation to make a real difference in their lives.
Marybeth enjoys traveling with her husband and 4 children, hanging out with her 2 cats and 2 dogs, reading, comedy, music, hiking, gardening and drinking coffee.
The students she enjoys teaching the most are beginners; most of us are beginners in some way and helping others discover the benefits of yoga is the reason she’s here.
