Getting Here

Where do I park?

Please park across the street in the large municipal lot (across from the church). Our building’s parking spaces are reserved for PKL Physical Therapy patients and students with limited mobility, as space is very limited.

Which door do I use?

Our entrance is on the left side of the building (facing the church). Walk up the stairs and you’ll see our lounge area. Our door is the first on the right.

When to Arrive

How early should I get there?

Arrive 10 minutes before your class starts. That gives you time to check in, get a quick studio tour, scope out your spot, and settle in.

What if I'm running late?

We get it, life happens. If you’re running more than 5 minutes late, please text or call so we know you’re on your way. We may not be able to let you in once class has started, depending on where we are in the practice.

What to Wear

What should I wear to class?

Wear whatever feels most comfortable for you to move and be inverted in. Think stretchy, breathable layers that won’t ride up or get in the way.

Socks?

Nope! We practice barefoot. You’ll leave your shoes and socks in the lounge area when you arrive. If you’re taking yin, restore or want your socks for rest, keep them next to your mat.

What to Bring

Do I need my own yoga mat? or props?

Bring one if you have it, but if not, we have a few you can borrow. We have tons of props (blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps) for you to use. You’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

When you get here

What happens when I walk in?

You’ll take your shoes off in the hallway lounge and hang your coat. We’ll greet you, get you checked in, and give you the grand tour.

Where do I put my stuff?

We have cubbies for your personal belongings.

What to Expect in Class

Will the teacher know I'm new?

Yes! We’ll let them know, and they’ll be extra attentive to supporting you.

What if I can't do a pose or need to rest?

You can always rest in Child’s Pose, sit or lie down. There’s no pressure to do every pose. Listen to your body.

Studio Etiquette

Should I silence my phone?

Yes, please and leave it in your cubby.

Can I bring my water bottle into the studio?

Absolutely. Just keep it off to the side of your mat.

What about fragrance or perfume?

Please skip it. Many students are sensitive to scents, and we want everyone to breathe easy.

Is it okay to talk in the studio?

Before and after class, yes! Once class starts, we’ll move into a quieter, more reflective space together.

After You Leave

In the next few days, you can expect a text or call from us to check in and make sure all your questions are answered.
